<body><h1>Managing Comments</h1><h2><a name="manage comments"></a>Add and Manage Comments</h2><ul><li>Add a comment: Select text, click the <b>Insert comment</b> icon, and enter your comment.</li><li>Reply to a comment: Click a comment and type your response.</li><li>Mention someone: Enter @ followed by a username, group name, or channel name while writing a comment.</li><li>Edit a comment: Click the <b>More</b> icon (⋮) on your comment, then click <b>Edit</b> to make changes. Note that you can only edit your own comments.</li><li>Delete a comment: Click the <b>More</b> icon (⋮) on your own comment or reply and click <b>Delete</b>. Deleting the first comment in a thread removes the entire thread, including replies.</li><li>Get a link to a comment: Click the <b>More</b> icon (⋮) in a comment and click <b>Get link</b>.</li><li>Resolve a comment: Click the check mark in a comment to hide it from the document's editing area. It remains accessible in the <a href="#comment_panel">comment panel</a>.</li></ul><h2><a name="comment_panel"></a>Use the Comment Panel to View Comments</h2><p>The comment panel displays comments chronologically, helping users track discussions and filter relevant comments.</p><h4>To view comments chronologically:</h4><ol><li>Click the <strong>Comment</strong> icon near the upper-right corner.</li><li>All comments appear in order, with newest at the top.</li><li>Click a comment to jump to its location in the document.</li></ol><h4>To filter comments:</h4><ol><li>Click the <strong>Comment</strong> icon near the upper-right corner.</li><li>Click the triangle next to <b>All</b> and select a filter:	<ul>	<li><b>All types</b>: Displays <b>Comments</b> and <b>Revisions</b>.</li>	<li><b>All statuses</b>: Displays <b>Unresolved</b> and <b>Resolved</b>.</li>	<li><b>Only show mention me</b>: Shows comments where you are mentioned.</li>	</ul></li>	<li>Optionally, select <b>Hide resolved</b> to exclude resolved comments.</li></ol><h4>To mark a resolved comment as unresolved:</h4> <ol><li>Click the <strong>Comment</strong> icon near the upper-right corner.</li><li>Locate a resolved comment.</li><li>Click the check mark symbol to mark it as unresolved.</li></ol><h2><a name="notify"></a>Change Comment Notifications</h2><p>You can adjust the notification settings in the comment panel.</p><h4>To change the notification settings for comments:</h4><ol><li>Click the <strong>Comment</strong> icon near the upper-right corner.</li>	<li>Click the <b>Settings</b> icon (bell).</li>	<li>Choose a notification preference.</li>	<li>Select how you receive notifications:		<ul>		<li><b>Notification Center</b>: Notifications will appear in the left sidebar on the homepage of Office.</li>		<li><b>Email</b>: This requires setting up an email first. Click the <b>Account</b> icon in the lower-left corner, select <b>Package settings</b>, go to the <b>General</b> tab, and select <b>Email</b> next to <b>Notify me via</b>. Then, enter your email in the <b>Profile</b> tab.</li>		<li><b>Chat messages</b>: Available if Synology Chat is installed on your Synology NAS. </li>        </ul>        </li></ol><div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4><ul><li>For files created by others, you are only notified of comments that mention you by default. You can change this settings manually.</li> <li>Each file has its own comment notification settings. Changes made to one file does not affect other files.</li></ul></div></body>
