<body><h1>Integrate AI into Synology Spreadsheet</h1><p>AI in Synology Spreadsheet helps you create, understand, and use formulas with ease.</p><h2><a name="prerequisites"></a>Prerequisites</h2><p>Before using AI features, complete the following setup steps in <a href="https://kb.synology.com/$_KBURL_$/help/AIConsole/aiconsole_general" target="_blank">Synology AI Console</a>:</p><ul><li><a href="https://sy.to/aiapifaq" target="_blank">Enter a valid API key</a> for your AI provider.</li><li><a href="https://kb.synology.com/$_KBURL_$/help/AIConsole/aiconsole_permission" target="_blank">Enable AI permissions</a> for Synology Office and relevant users.</li></ul><div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4><ul> <li>If your AI usage limit is reached, an error message will appear and AI features may become temporarily unavailable in Synology Office. Adjust the AI settings in Synology AI Console to resolve the issue.</li></ul></div><h2><a name="AIAssistant"></a>Use AI Assistant</h2><h4>To use AI Assistant:</h4><ol> <li>Click the <strong>AI Assistant</strong> icon in the top toolbar or enter "=" into a cell and click the <strong>AI Assistant</strong> icon.</li> <li>On the AI Assistant panel that appears on the right: <ul> <li>Ask AI Assistant to help you create formulas or explain formulas by providing examples. Note that if you are using the examples provided, replace the example text with your own input.</li> <li>Enter any questions you have about formulas.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Press <strong>Enter</strong> or click the upward arrow and AI Assistant will generate a suggested formula or explain the one you entered.</li> <li>After AI generates a response, you can: <ul> <li>Insert the content to your spreadsheet.</li> <li>Copy the text to your clipboard.</li> <li>Refine the response.</li> <li>Regenerate a new version.</li> </ul></li> <li>You can continue the conversation based on previous queries and responses.</li></ol><h4>To clear chat history:</h4><ul> <li>Click the <strong>Clear chat</strong> icon at the top-right corner.</li></ul><div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4><ul><li>To avoid losing history, insert the generated output into your spreadsheet. Conversation history is lost if you refresh the browser, close or reopen the spreadsheet, your computer goes offline, or lose your Internet connection.</li></ul></div></body>
